WHAT TO EXPECT

1 You will meet you captain at Marina Pez Vela, Quepos, Costa Rica at the charter time you have selected. This information will also be on your receipt that will be emailed you you after you have confirmed your booking.

2 From there you will purchase your Days fishing licence for $15 USD cash only. After your licence is in order your captain will bring you down to your charter boat where he will introduce you to the crew and give you a boat tour and safety briefing. Now all the hard work is done, you are ready to leave port and start your fishing adventure.

3 A small breakfast or snack will be provided while exiting the port and heading out to the blue waters of the Pacific. Your experienced Capitan will bring you out to the hot fishing spots for the time of year your visiting while the crew starts baiting and setting lines. Remember its your charter so if you want to switch up the species you are fishing for just ask. Now its time to sit back and watch the rods. When a fish is hooked the crew will set the hook and pass you the rod, now its all up to you. When the fish is landed you will get an opportunity to take photos of you and your fish.

Note: It is illegal to take marlin out of the water but the crew will show you how to get a great shot with your fish.

4 If you are on a full day charter lunch will be served about midway though your trip. Of course drinks and snacks are available thought the trip at your leisure. After your exciting day on the water you will make your way back to the marina, lots of captain like to fish all the way back but it is up to you.

5 Once landed at the dock the crew will be happy to clean and fillet your catch to bring to any one of the resultants in the marina to cook it up for you, or you may choose to bring it back to your accommodations to cook it yourself. Filling out a short review of the crew and charter would be much appreciated and will help us continue to provide this excellent service to yourself and others in the future although not required. If you are too excited to get to one of the marinas restraint / bars and to tell your fishing adventure we understand.

In the unfortunate event that the weather prevents you from being able to enjoy your charter, we will rebook you on the next available charter.

Yes one can be purchased at the marina prior to your charter. All you will need is $15 USD cash.

You are not required to bring anything however we strongly suggest you bring sunscreen, a UV shirt, a hat, and forget $15 USD cash to get your fishing licence.

Tipping your crew is the same as any other service industry. Gratuities between. Many crews primary income come from these tips, 15% – 20% is customary and are split between the captain and crew evenly.
